Where to check PIN-code distance for an e-way bill

OrangeTool · Updated

Use the official e-way bill system to check the estimated motorable distance between the dispatch and destination PIN codes. A straight-line distance or an unrelated map estimate is not the same as the portal’s value.

Use the official source

The official system describes automatic estimated motorable distance based on the supplier and recipient PIN codes. Confirm the dispatch and delivery locations and follow the portal’s instructions when entering actual movement distance. Check current rules and the consignment details with a qualified adviser when necessary.

Why a generic distance estimate can be misleading

PIN codes cover areas rather than a single loading point. Motorable routes, detours and the actual route can differ from a direct line between two coordinates. A local tool without the official distance data cannot establish the distance accepted by the e-way bill system.

What OrangeTool currently provides

This guide links to the official portal and explains the distinction. OrangeTool does not currently provide a PIN-to-PIN lookup or issue e-way bills. The planned distance tool stays unpublished until its distance source, validation and acceptance tests are ready. No distances or tax-compliance results are fabricated.
