How to merge PDFs safely and check the result

OrangeTool · Updated

Keep the originals, put files in order, choose page ranges, merge, then check page count and every join between documents. OrangeTool merges ordinary unencrypted PDFs locally.

Keep signed originals

The merger rejects encrypted documents and detected signature fields. A signature certifies a particular original document; copying pages to a new PDF cannot carry that certification into a merged file. Keep any signed source separately.

Choose the right pages

Add two to ten PDFs, use preview and drag or arrow controls to set the order, then enter ranges such as 1-3,5. The current limits are 10 MB per input and 200 pages across the inputs and output. Preview is an aid, so still review the exported document.

Check what is preserved

The released merger copies page content and bookmarks pointing to selected pages. It does not preserve interactive forms or attachments, and it does not sanitize malicious content. Open only trusted inputs. Check the first and last selected page of each source after exporting.
