How to use keyword density checker
- Paste up to 100,000 characters of plain text.
- Choose one, two or three words per phrase and analyze.
- Review counts and word-window percentages. Download up to 100 rows as CSV.
A simple example
For “red blue red”, single-word red occurs twice in 3 words (66.666667%). Two-word phrases are “red blue” and “blue red”, each 1 of 2 available windows (50%).
What to keep in mind
Uses Unicode normalization, English locale word segmentation and case folding. Punctuation is removed; phrases can cross sentence boundaries. No URL crawling, stop-word removal, stemming or ranking prediction. Results are the top 100 phrases, ordered by count then text. No ideal density is recommended.
Good questions. Clear answers.
What denominator does a phrase percentage use?
The number of available windows: word count minus phrase length plus one, with a minimum of zero. It is not the number of unique phrases.
Is there a keyword density that guarantees rankings?
No. Repetition counts are an editing aid. Useful content, clarity and satisfying the reader matter; stuffing phrases does not guarantee visibility.
Does my text leave this browser?
No. The analysis and CSV export run locally. Your account does not store the text.
