How to use data cost calculator
- Enter the amount of data bought and its price in one currency.
- Enter the data used and fixed fees. Choose the same decimal or binary unit for both amounts.
- Calculate, review the formula and download the CSV. Reset clears every input.
A simple example
A 30 GB plan costing 300 has a price of 10 per GB. A prorated estimate for 10 GB plus 5 in fixed fees is 105.
What to keep in mind
Amounts and prices are limited to one trillion. Positive purchased amount required. Decimal MB/GB/TB use powers of 1000; binary MiB/GiB/TiB use powers of 1024. No live tariffs, provider billing, allowance rollover, overage rates or automatic taxes. Values are rounded to six decimal places for display.
Good questions. Clear answers.
How do I calculate cost per GB?
Divide the price by the amount of data in GB. For decimal units, 1000 MB = 1 GB; 1 TB = 1000 GB.
Does this predict my phone bill?
No. It estimates a proportional usage cost using your inputs. A provider can charge a fixed bundle price regardless of usage.
Is GiB the same as GB?
No. GB is decimal and GiB is binary. Binary input produces a rate per GiB; do not compare those rates without converting units.
